This is a funny and moving play about Christopher Boone who is in his late teens and lives in Swindon with his dad. He shares a close bond with his teacher, Siobhan, who encourages him to keep a written journal of his thoughts and activities. He is extremely curious, an excellent mathematics student, and has an extraordinary ability to observe and retain highly detailed information about any situation he finds himself in.
However, Christopher is autistic and for him the world is black and white, fact and fiction. The adults around him live in a world of shades of grey. The Play begins when Christopher discovers his neighbour’s dog Wellington has been stabbed to death with a garden fork. Mrs. Shears assumes Christopher is the killer and calls the police. Christopher explains he did not kill Wellington. The situation is sorted out despite Christopher punching a policeman and he resolves to make it his personal mission to solve the case of who killed Wellington. Gradually Christopher uncovers the truth surrounding Wellingtons death but, in the process, uncovers far deeper secrets.

ALICE KIM LIVE IN THE LIVING ROOM
SATURDAY 18 OCTOBER 2025
Doors open 7pm (til 11pm)
ADVANCE TICKETS £8 + booking fee
Leeds-based Alice Kim brings her unique blend of soul-folk electro-pop to Cleethorpes, for a laid-back night of new sounds, up close and personal.
Hailing from a Midlands village, Alice’s early musical interest came from her parents’ 80s record collection, stacks of her sister’s burnt RnB CDs and endless hours with a Sony Discman.
When she moved to Leeds at 18, Alice began to perform and write with different bands including New Position, Tete de Pois and Belgrave House band, touring and performing in venues such as London’s Jazz Cafe and Manchester’s Band on the Wall.
In the past couple of years she has broken away to mark a new path as a solo artist creating her own DIY funky, soulful sound packed full of emotive melodies. Recently Alice has enjoyed multiple radio plays and festival appearances, including Green Man, Kendal Calling and Secret Garden Party.
“If her music feels like it knows you, it’s because she’s singing straight from the heart”
